Casa Mono and Bar Jamón
well, since no one is updating this blog, i will just write here to record my food experiences here in nyc. this tiny corner spot by famous chefs Mario Batali–Joseph Bastianich in gramercy area replaced the resto i used to go to here (tho i can't remember wht was...) i did ask henry n he said we used to buy dinrings here. i sort of recalled that, but... name?
anyways, friday nite here (we sat on the casa mono side), one must make reservation or b lucky like laura wyss to get us 4 spots at the bar. we drank the quarter vase wines to share and ate some very yummy tapas. i took zero fotos simply because it was way too dark n we were too busy eating, catching up and drinking. one of the very memoriable dish was the rosted bel pepper stuffed w/oxtail, yum! by accident, the waiter sent us a wrong dish which turns out to b really yummy too, and it's clams with rice sticks. our heirloom tomato w/goat cheese salad (basically sliced n stcked beautifully) was really fresh and yummy too. i guess overall, everything is great! no complaints here. and they take reservations too.
